The Geneva Window opened the Mondays at the Mess, lecture series for 2017.
A fascinating talk today, by Dr Roisin Kennedy, on Harry Clarke windows particularly, the Geneva Window.
A large audience at the barracks really appreciated how Roisin, conveyed both the uniqueness and drama of Clarke’s work. Through his reinvention of many Celtic themes, he has created astonishing works of art.
Following the lecture and a cup of coffee, we all visited St Michael’s Church to view the Harry Clarke (school) stained glass windows. These were installed in the church in the 40’s
A glittering prize indeed.
