On Friday 28th September, Richmond Barracks welcomed back past pupils and teachers of St Michael’s CBS.
Rekindling old friendships, re-visiting the old classroom and recounting life stories over a corned beef sandwich and a carton of milk. For the Richmond Barracks staff and those who attended it was an emotional evening. Thank you all for coming and the lovely messages we have received. Here’s a little message from Brian Kerr, we hope you enjoy.
Messages from Past Pupils:
- Just to congratulate you on a wonderful evening on the 28 Sept last. My father John Smith (1930’s class) met his old pal Francis Clinton on the night. He has not stopped talking about it since. We have Francis’ phone no and we will definitely be keeping on touch – already we have swapped photos of the night! The wreath laying was a wonderful tribute and very touching. Thank you so much for organizing such a fantastic event, we enjoyed it tremendously. Bernie Keleghan
- Just to say I thoroughly enjoyed the school reunion on Friday night I passed on to Brian Kerr
Well done to everyone concerned. Regards Tom O’Connor
- What a great event. Seeing so many old school Pals was wonderful. Thank You all and also to the 2nd Battalion Association for their excellent Patriotic contribution. Alan Byrne.
- Was there myself along with Jason Alan and brothers! Met Mr Howley, still a gentle man ! Had great laugh with him about the old days school teams and classes! Was well worth going! Glen Moore
