Our new audio-visual exhibition to mark the centenary of the 1918 Election of Countess Markievicz was launched on the 20th September 2018 by Senator Ivana Bacik.  This exhibition focuses on the two year period from June 1917 to April 1919 beginning with Markievicz’s release from Aylesbury Prison and concludes with her appointment as Minister for Labour in April 1919 while paying tribute to those who campaigned on her behalf.

This exhibition is supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Dublin City Council.
