Eadaoin Ní Chleirigh, CEO

Eadaoin is CEO of Richmond Barracks, basically mammy to all the staff and volunteers. She has worked tirelessly on the Richmond Barracks restoration project since 2012 to ensure it remained a huge significance in Ireland’s national history.

She loves travel, culture and is a complete rugby fanatic. She is currently studying broadcasting , so beware if you come in to visit you could be hijacked into recording a podcast!

She also drinks her coffee from a “Little Miss Socialist” mug, need we say any more…?

Listen in to some of her recordings on our Blog and Podcasts.

Vicky Allen (Kearney), Visitor & Education Services

Vicky started working in Richmond Barracks in May 2016. With a background in Electronics, Customer Services and Public Relations, Vicky is the “go to” girl for any techie, creative or DIY issues.

Social History is very important to us here at Richmond Barracks and especially to Vicky, she loves to meet the past pupils of St Michael’s CBS, Keogh Square and St Michael’s Estate and hear their stories.

She can use a bow and arrow, so make sure you stay on her good side!!!

Niall is a local resident and history buff, with a background in print.

Thanks to Niall and our team of tour guides, Richmond Barracks is currently rated #9 on TripAdvisor as he ensures all visitors on his tours receive exceptional care and attention.

Niall is a complete technophobe with a penchant for toffees and certain french cultures; we will say no more!!!!

His motto is “Love Everybody”.

Bernie Tynan, Reception, Tour Guide & Resident Musician

Bernie Tynan, Reception, Tour Guide & Resident Musician

Bernie is a local resident and exceptional musician and singer.

She continues to amaze us as to how she can bring visitors to tears on the “Melodies & Memories” music tours along with her friend Tony Casey.

Unlike her colleague Niall, she loves technology and all things social. She is a dedicated fan of Jack Daniels and according to herself she has no brain to mouth filter.

If not in work she can be found singing beautiful ballads in bars the length and breadth of the country.

Patrick Tunstead, Gardener

Patrick Tunstead, Gardener

Patrick is a local resident, he tends to the beautiful gardens here in Richmond Barracks.

His green fingers could entice a weed to look beautiful!

He is lovingly referred to as our local Diet Coke man, often seen in the summer months working away in the garden – SHIRTLESS! He also loves jellies & dressing up for Halloween.
