Below you will find some useful information about visiting us during Covid-19.
Please note, whilst our guided tours are returning we will not be resuming our other live events or programming for the time being. We will make separate announcements on our additional programming and we will phase its return in the future in accordance with public health guidelines.

Visiting Richmond Barracks
The Richmond Barracks Historic Tour will run Monday to Saturday at 1pm every day.
The Richmond Barracks to Kilmainham Walking Tour will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 3pm.
To ensure social distancing and public health guidelines can be adhered to at all times we are significantly reducing the capacity of our guided tours and will be accommodating small groups of people, plus a guide.
We strongly advise all visitors to book in advance via our website or phone-line. Please note that we will not be accepting cash on site, but all card transactions will be facilitated.
In addition to individual visitor tickets, we are now introducing a private group tour ticket on the Richmond Barracks to Kilmainham Walking Tour. Designed for those who may feel safer and more comfortable by staying within their own family units or small groupings during their visit, our private tours are for small groupings of up to eight people.
Before booking a ticket to Richmond Barracks, please check that you are adhering to current Government travel restrictions. If you are feeling unwell on the day of your visit we would ask that you stay at home for your own safety and that of our staff and other visitors. Any visitors unable to visit due to illness can contact us to rearrange their booking.
Please note, due to hygiene requirements, we are no longer able to store visitors personal belongings such as coats, bags and umbrellas. We are also unable to store visitors’ bikes, scooters and children’s buggies on the premises, so please travel lightly.
During Your Visit
Visitor and staff safety is paramount, and we ask you to kindly comply with our new health and safety measures during your visit.
Please arrive on time for your tour, to avoid delays to your tour group.
During our tours please follow the instructions of your guide. We ask that where available you stand or sit on the designated visitor points as instructed by your guide, and maintain social distance when moving through the tour routes.
Hand sanitiser stations and gloves will be available and we encourage all visitors to use good social distancing, hand-hygiene and coughing/sneezing etiquette during their visit.
Please be advised that government guidelines now require that face coverings are mandatory in Libraries.
For any indoor events at Richmond Barracks please note that social distancing remains our primary method of protecting the health and safety of our staff and visitors.
Signage and floor markings are present to help identify the recommended 2 metre distance required for effective social distancing, however government guidelines strongly recommend wearing a face covering in indoor public spaces.
Face shields are mandatory for our singing workshops, and visitors taking part in these will be allocated their own face shield.
All Dublin City Council Culture Company team members have the relevant health and safety training.
