We’re delighted to share that Richmond Barracks will take part in the 2020 Dublin Festival of History, which was launched on August 26th.
Now in its eighth year, the festival has become renowned for shining a fresh perspective on history and its importance in our everyday lives and the 2020 edition will broach topics such as the construction of race, Ireland’s last great pandemic and the history of Ireland’s partition.
Due to COVID-19, many events in the 2020 festival will take place online which means that no matter where you are, in Ireland or further afield, you can enjoy a varied array of events, talks, and panels from the comfort of home.
Alongside the digital events, there will be a number of socially distanced walking tours of historical places in Dublin such as St. Anne’s Park, Croke Park, as well as Richmond Barracks.
And if all that wasn’t exciting enough, all events will be free to attend.
So if you’d like to delve into our diverse history and learn more about the stories that have shaped us, book one of our Co-Creation Tours below and check out the Dublin Festival of History website for the full programme of events.
The festival runs from September 11th until October 4th.
