Important information about your visit to Richmond Barracks during Covid-19
We would like to reassure you that we are working hard to ensure all our visitors have a safe experience. We are operating in line with Government guidelines and under strict health and safety protocols.
To ensure that social distancing and public health guidelines can be adhered to at all times we are reducing the capacity of people on our tours and in our buildings. Hand sanitiser stations will be available and there will be visible messages reinforcing social distancing, hand-hygiene, and coughing/sneezing etiquette.
We advise all visitors to book tour tickets in advance via our website or phone-line and please note only card transactions will be facilitated on site.
Before booking a ticket, please check that you are adhering to current Government travel restrictions.
Please be advised that government guidelines now require that face coverings are mandatory in Libraries. We will not be able to facilitate entry to the building without a suitable face covering.
Please follow the instructions of your guide or group leader at all times.
Signage and floor markings are present to help identify the recommended two-metre distance required for effective social distancing. We ask that you stay on the designated visitor social distancing points where they are available and maintain your distance when moving through the building and on our tour routes.
Hand sanitiser stations and gloves will be available and we encourage all visitors to use good hand-hygiene and coughing/sneezing etiquette during their visit.
All Dublin City Council Culture Company team members have taken the relevant health and safety training in advance of opening and we hold a Fáilte Ireland Covid Safety Charter Certificate.
Please note, due to hygiene requirements, we are no longer able to store visitors personal belongings such as coats, bags and umbrellas. We are also unable to store visitors’ bikes, scooters and children’s buggies etc.
Finally, we would ask that anyone experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms to stay home, for the safety of our staff and visitors.
Please share our updated health and safety measures with all members of your visiting party to ensure the understanding and compliance of all our visitors.
Our visitor and staff safety is paramount, and we ask you to kindly comply with our new health and safety measures during your visit.
We are delighted to re-open our doors and welcome you back to Richmond Barracks.
