Improving Your Soil

Healthy soil is important for plants and trees but also for insects, animals and biodiversity.

A two-part workshop on Saturday 8 October and Saturday 15 October.

This practical workshop, facilitated by our Eco Gardener-in-Residence, Polly Rowley-Sams, will teach you about the different ways you can naturally improve soil while supporting nature and the environment. You will learn about soil composition, soil types, as well as soil improvement methods such as composting, mulching, no-dig gardening, and how to encourage soil-friendly insects.

No gardening experience is necessary, and this workshop is open to adults aged 18 and over. Dress for the weather and be prepared to get your hands dirty. You may want to bring gardening gloves.

To book please contact Laura at cultureconnects@richmondbarracks.ie or call her on 086 851 3940 .

These workshops are part of the Culture Connects programme. Culture Connects is a year-round programme that invites people in Dublin to try out new things.

Culture Connects is made by Dublin City Council Culture Company and currently runs at Richmond Barracks, Inchicore.
