Explore local heroes on one of our guided walking tours
This summer, why not learn more about your local area by joining us for our Walking Tour from Richmond Barracks to Kilmainham Gaol. Alongside the national historic events that Inchicore and Kilmainham are famous for, you will learn about the area's lesser known history.
In an area that is changing rapidly, Inchicore has its own heroes that are sometimes little known outside of local knowledge. Hear the story of one of Inchicore’s literary legends Michael Hartnett and his influence on some of Ireland’s best known poets. Find out how Emmet Road connects him to one of the sporting prides of Inchicore, St. Patrick’s Athletic.

You’ll leave with an appreciation of how Dublin 8’s influence on art and architecture extends further than IMMA and Kilmainham Gaol into Garrison Churches and other treasures hidden in plain sight.
