Richmond Barracks is located off Bulfin Road which is on the corner of Emmet Road (R810), behind St. Michael’s Church.
Visitors can enter Richmond Barracks through the sliding doors at the front of the building.
Richmond Barracks has Part M access. All public areas are on ground level and all facilities (including the garden) are wheelchair and buggy accessible.
One wheelchair is available for visitors to use free of charge.
There are two disabled parking bays outside the entrance to Richmond Barracks.
There is an accessible bathroom available for visitors with impaired mobility.
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at Richmond Barracks, and on local history tours.
We have a sensory space in the building, filled with engaging toys and activities designed to encourage play, exploration and relaxation in a welcoming environment. There is a sensory mood egg, sensory circles, lock-and-latch boards, magnetic mazes, and beanbags. You can find out more on our library page or pop in to reception or the library to find out more.
In addition to our sensory space, we have sensory kits available for visitors to use free of charge.
