Operated by Dublin City Libraries, the newly expanded Inchicore Library is now open at Richmond Barracks. This vibrant and modern space offers a welcoming environment for readers of all ages.
Enjoy a dedicated adult seating area, study desks, and an enhanced Young Adult collection. Daily newspapers are available for browsing, along with a wide selection of adult fiction, non-fiction, and junior books. Discover local history in the Dublin Collection, featuring a range of titles focused on the city’s rich heritage.
Books can be reserved online and picked up at your convenience from Inchicore Library.
Self-service printing and photocopying facilities are also available for public use. Laptops are available for use in the library.
The library also offers a number of groups and clubs that are open for anyone to join. Some of them are listed further below.

Join us on Mondays for our Sensory Playtime which runs every Monday from 11 am to 12 pm. We can’t wait to show you Dublin City Libraries wonderful sensory offerings! There are lots of sensory friendly toys and our brand new Senso Cube!
Please note these sessions are free play and all children will need to be supervised.
No booking is required.
The Movie and Book Club meets on the third Monday of the month at 2.15 pm to discuss a book and its film adaptation. The duration varies, depending on if a movie is being screened.

The Junior Book Club is for budding readers aged 7 to 9 years and meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 3.15 pm to 4 pm.

A friendly space for short reads that open into discussion. We welcome people who read a little, a lot, or are just getting back into it. Our next meeting will be discussing ‘So Late in the Day’ by Claire Keegan on Saturday 21 March from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.

Come along every Wednesday from 10 am to 11.30 am for our Toddler Time. There will be stories, toys and plenty of fun.
No booking required, all ages welcome.
The Knitting Club meets on Thursdays from 3 pm to 4.30 pm. Both experienced knitters and beginners are welcome to join in.
It is a drop-in event, no booking is needed.
Inchicore Library is delighted to host the Kilmainham Inchicore Heritage Group every month for an interesting talk of local interest. March’s talk will take place on Wednesday 18 March from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.
