Our in-person Beginner Writing Workshops, designed for beginners and novices, will provide the tools needed to dig into your own innate creativity and get the juices flowing in a relaxed, friendly and encouraging environment.

Using writing exercises and discussion, participants will be introduced to a wide range of simple approaches designed to help shape and develop their own writing style and discover their unique creative voice. Each session is designed to explore the stories participants want to tell and look at how to get started.

These workshops are designed and delivered by seasoned facilitator and freelance performer and writer, Nicole Rourke. They will run over four Mondays in November and will each last for two hours. You can book a place in one session or you can book for all four.

Places are limited so book early to guarantee your place.

For your own safety and that of our staff and other visitors, all visitors attending indoor events and activities at Richmond Barracks will be required to bring proof of Covid-19 vaccination or immunity, and matching photo ID on arrival at the building. Visitors must also wear a face mask for the duration of their visit. Further info on accepted forms of proof of immunity can be found here: https://bit.ly/3iDJc10.

Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks

Culture Connects is a year-round programme that invites people in Dublin to try out new things. We offer ways for people to make and create together, to share ideas and connect through culture and conversation.

Our workshops cover a wide range of cultural activities from home growing to history, painting to poetry, dancing to drawing and so much more. We design sessions so that you can join one workshop or come for several, depending on your preference. Please keep an eye on our website or sign up to our newsletter for regular updates.
