This June, our book clubs will be reading and discussing ‘Lost Children Archive’ by Valeria Luiselli, the winner of the DUBLIN Literary Award 2021.

The fifth novel by Mexcian writer Luiselli, ‘Lost Children Archive’ has been described as “a powerful, urgent story about what it is to be human in an inhuman world”.

Attendees of this special book club session can avail of a free copy of the book, posted to their address, but please note that places are limited.

The DUBLIN Literary Award is proudly sponsored by Dublin City Council and administered by Dublin City Libraries.

About the Book Clubs

The book clubs are held on the last Tuesday and Thursday of every month at 8pm.

The Tuesday book clubs are for those who have read the whole book and may enjoy a more in-depth discussion. The Thursday book clubs are more suited for people who are interested in this month’s title but haven’t had the time to finish it – you may have only read a few pages but want to have a chance to hear more and talk about books. We will start each session with a discussion about the current title and then have a broader discussion about books and swap recommendations.

Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks

These workshops are part of our Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks programme. Culture Connects is a year-round programme that invites people in Dublin to try out new things. We offer ways for people to make and create together, to share ideas and connect through culture and conversation.

The workshops cover a wide range of cultural activities from home growing to history, painting to poetry, dancing to drawing and so much more. We design sessions so that you can join one workshop or come for several, depending on your preference. Please keep an eye on our website or sign up to our newsletter for regular updates.
