This September, our book clubs will read and discuss Intimate City: Dublin Essays by Peter Sirr.
How well do you think you know the city of Dublin? Do you ever find something catching your eye on a street that you have walked every day and never noticed before?
In these newly published essays, Peter Sirr takes us wandering through the streets of Dublin, past and present to pull back the layers.
Trace old routes and discover new ones, listening for the steps of those who have gone before in a city where people have lived and died for over a thousand years.
About the Book Clubs
The book clubs are held on the last Tuesday and Thursday of every month at 8pm. We start each session with a discussion about the current title and then have a broader discussion about books and swap recommendations.
Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks
These workshops are part of our Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks programme. Culture Connects is a year-round programme that invites people in Dublin to try out new things. We offer ways for people to make and create together, to share ideas and connect through culture and conversation.
The workshops cover a wide range of cultural activities from home growing to history, painting to poetry, dancing to drawing and so much more. We design sessions so that you can join one workshop or come for several, depending on your preference. Please keep an eye on our website or sign up to our newsletter for regular updates.
