Based out of Richmond Park since 1939, St Patrick’s Athletic are Inchicore born and bred; a team which grew out of the railway works, supported by thousands of local people over the years, playing host to local players and representing the area with pride. This talk with Dermot Looney will examine some of the fascinating history of St Patrick’s Athletic and its place as an Inchicore institution.

Dermot Looney is researching the history of St Patrick’s Athletic for the @HistoryStPats project. A Pat’s fan from Greenhills with Inchicore roots, he is a primary school teacher and a former County Councillor and Mayor of South Dublin.
