When: Mondays in May, from the 10th
Duration: 4 weeks
Time: 1pm – 1:30pm
What to expect?
This free 4-week-long ‘Try It Out’ experience is an introduction to the joy of movement. We know people are spending more time in their houses and sitting down now and these movement workshops, led by our Richmond Barracks dancer-in-residence, Aoife McAtamney, offer people the opportunity to move their bodies in a fun, relaxed and accessible way. So whether you are stuck at a desk, caring for someone at home, or just want to try it out, these short lunch-timed movement sessions can add some joyful movement, music and positive energy to your day.
In each interactive online session, Aoife will guide you through the easy movements, from physical warm ups, to simple choreographed combinations and meditative cool downs.
The workshops are suitable for anyone aged 18+ and no experience is necessary.
You are welcome to book for just one week or for all four.
Please note, places are free but limited so early booking is advised.
Try It Out workshops are part of our Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks programme. Culture Connects is a year-round programme that invites people in Dublin to try out new things. We offer ways for people to make and create together, to share ideas and connect through culture and conversation.
Our Try It Out experiences cover a wide range of cultural activities from home growing to history, painting to poetry, dancing to drawing and so much more. We design sessions so that you can join one workshop or come for several, depending on your preference. Please keep an eye on our website or sign up to our newsletter for regular updates.
