Richmond Barracks

Richmond Barracks Summer Fair - Applications closed

Thank you to everyone who applied for our Summer Fair, May 27 and 28. Applications closed on March 10 2023.

This May, in the heart of Inchicore, Richmond Barracks will host a Summer Fair with a focus on sustainability.

The fair will have a focus on upcycling, recycling and reusing. We would like to hear from businesses, sustainable and social enterprises, craftspeople and vendors who have a particular interest in these areas.

We would like to ensure a varied market that provides the public with a sensory experience, sustainable and recycled products, summer themed art and craft, food suitable for gifting, handmade jewellery, upcycled clothes and so on.

Our Fairs have been visited by thousands of people of all ages. Visitors enjoy browsing the stalls and enjoying the food, hot drinks and entertainment. Families participate in our creative workshops. Those who have had stalls with us have told us how welcoming the Fair is, how ideal the space is and we have repeat applications from previous stallholders.

They have told us:

"Richmond Barracks is a fantastic venue for markets. As well as the historical aspect, using the space for markets and events is a brilliant idea to showcase a variety of creatives. It is easy to get to, there are plenty of activities and the staff are very helpful."

"A superb venue with something happening for everyone. The atmosphere and friendliness of the people there over the weekend was such a joy…I can’t wait for the next one!"

"A well planned and organized fair with warm and friendly staff and a great variety creators and designers It was a joy to engage with my local community. A really must do fair for any local maker, creator and designer AS well as visitors to the fair."

We are looking for vendors for our inside market shopping area who sell Summer related or gift related goods and food vendors for the garden area that use seasonal produce and refreshing summer dishes.
