We have lots of activities for children and young people to get involved in over the school holidays this October.
They can make their own shadow puppets and lanterns, learn how to make a terrarium, or create their own cartoon world. They can also explore how children lived in the past, or explore the history of Halloween and play traditional Halloween games.
This workshop is on twice on Tuesday 27 October, at 11 am and 6.30 pm. In order to accommodate as many people as possible, we ask you to please only book into one workshop.
Morning workshop on Tuesday 27 October, 11 am; duration 90 minutes; €5 (non-refundable)
Evening workshop on Tuesday 27 October, 6.30 pm; duration 90 minutes; €5 (non-refundable)
A terrarium is a glass container that works a little bit like a tiny greenhouse, keeping your plants moist, warm and protected. Join facilitator Gobnait Ní Néill to create your very own miniature terrarium using a jam jar. Learn about how to build up the right layers for drainage, soil and decoration. If you have a favourite tiny toy, ornament, pebble or stick bring it along to add to your terrarium. Finished terrariums will need to be carried home carefully, so be sure to plan your journey home as well.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
