Celebrating All That Is Harvest Season at Richmond Barracks Harvest Fair

As the summer sun sets a little earlier and autumn arrives, the Richmond Barracks Harvest Fair beckons all to embrace the spirit of the season. This eagerly anticipated free event, known for showcasing the best local crafts, design, art, and culinary delights, will occur on Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th, from 11 am to 5 pm.
Richmond Barracks in Inchicore has become synonymous with community engagement and cultural enrichment. This Harvest Fair is no exception, promising a weekend filled with activities and offerings for all ages.
Visitors can dive into the world of creativity with drop-in workshops featuring talented artisans. Learn the art of felting from Niki Collier, explore textile printing with Liz Walsh, or join Change Clothes Crumlin in textile upcycling and reuse.
The spacious garden at Richmond Barracks provides the perfect backdrop for family outings. And yes, your four-legged friends are welcome, too!

Teegan's Treats: Laura and John offer homemade jams, preserves, and cordials using traditional recipes and locally foraged fruits.
Tudor Blooms: Sandra crafts stunning autumnal bouquets, wreaths, and crowns using dried Irish-grown flowers.
FoodCloud Kitchen: Offering a delectable menu created from surplus food, served with a side of social impact.
Pinchos: Serving mouthwatering Venezuelan-style street food, including burgers, wraps, and fries.
The Crepe Escape: Preparing homemade crêpes, galettes, and toppings using organic ingredients.
September's Harvest Fair at Richmond Barracks spotlights food, design, and crafting, marking the third in a series of fairs for 2023, brought to you by Dublin City Council Culture Company. These quarterly fairs celebrate the quality and creativity of small businesses, craftspeople, makers, and social enterprises abundant in the local area, promoting culture, creativity, and conversation. Through the Culture Company’s Culture Connects @ Richmond Barracks programme, there will be opportunities for people to attend cultural/creative workshops during the fairs and learn about our annual programme for repeat visits for other cultural and creative adventures.
